BarFindBot

BarFindBot is the web crawler for Bar Buddy, a bar-discovery app. It visits bar and brewery websites to read publicly posted facts: opening hours, happy-hour terms, events, menus, and contact/social links. It stores facts, not copies of your creative content or photos.

How it behaves

• User agent: BarFindBot/1.0 (+this page)
• Obeys robots.txt (including Disallow for BarFindBot or *)
• At most 1 concurrent request per site, at least 2 seconds between requests, at most 20 pages per site per visit
• Visits roughly monthly; more often only for pages that change (events, specials)

Opt out

Add User-agent: BarFindBot / Disallow: / to your robots.txt, or email bot@barfind.app with your domain. Opt-outs are honored permanently within 7 days, and previously collected facts from your site are removed on request.

Corrections

Venue owners can request corrections or removal of any fact shown in Bar Buddy by emailing bot@barfind.app.
